Preserving objects, connecting histories with care
Private Sikh heritage collection in Singapore
Something that started as a hobby in 1994, has grown into a sizeable collection in last few decades. We have catalogued coins, maps, medals, books, and prints, supporting research and loans with ethical standards, careful provenance, and clear, accessible notes.
Gurdita Collection
We are a private, non-commercial Sikh heritage archive in Singapore. Since 1994, we have cared for and studied more than two hundred artefacts across numismatics, philately, military memorabilia, art and print, maps, books, and Gurbani. Our purpose is preservation, research, and public education. We welcome exhibition loans, support researchers and artists, and offer in-person viewings by appointment.
Provenance, lawful acquisition, and careful handling guide everything we do. Images remain responsibly shared. No high-res downloads. Accessibility matters: clear notes, descriptive alt text, and credit for collaborators. With patience and rigour, Gurdita Collection helps connect stories across Sikh and Punjabi history.

Our Approach to Stewardship
We are an evidence-led, community-minded archive. Decades of hands-on collecting since 1994 underpin our cataloguing, conservation, and provenance checks. We prioritise lawful acquisition and respect for culturally sensitive materials. Researchers receive free guidance and low-resolution reference images with clear credit lines. Loans follow museum-grade environmental, security, and courier standards, with nail-to-nail insurance.
Accessibility shapes our publishing: plain-language notes, descriptive alt text, and bilingual rollouts. We work from Singapore, with availability by request and appointments for vetted viewings. We collaborate, cite accurately, and protect privacy and ensure transparency. Our Shop remains limited, keeping education and research at the centre.
Photo Gallery
Explore photographs from our displays. We present installation views, object details, and labels to show context and care. Use this gallery to study materials, inscriptions, and design across the collection.
